Use this letter to reach out to individuals who have experienced the death of someone close to them (spouse, partner, etc.) and may need to sell and relocate. It takes the approach that if life-changing events have prompted a move, you are there to make the transition easier.
Be sensitive with the use of this letter. Sending it too soon can seem morbid and opportunist. Given a little time, though, this letter can come across the way it’s genuinely intended to be used… as a help navigating one of life’s challenging milestones.
From the letter:
“I’m reaching out to you today to extend my condolences regarding your recent loss. I sincerely hope you’ve had support during this time of transition. It is one of life’s tougher experiences to have to deal with logistical issues which demand our attention while we’re dealing with grief.”
