Use this letter to get in touch with buyers who dropped off the radar. These may be people you worked with or had a few conversations with about buying a home who suddenly disappeared.
The idea is simply to open the conversation again, find out what their current status is, and either progress from there or remove them from your “active” or “unresolved” list.
This works both as a letter and an email message. It is especially useful for people who have signed into your web form but you haven’t heard from since.
Be sure to customize the letter with the correct contact information.
You may decide to keep or lose the P.S. line, depending on your comfort level.
You might consider using this letter as a “guiding script” for a phone call if you have the contact’s phone information.
From the letter:
“Last time we spoke you were searching for a home, and it seemed like you were likely to buy soon. Then… silence. I was just curious: Are you still searching? Did you perhaps put your plans on hold?”
